How To Improve Lash Retension
Do you know what eyelash retention is?
Lash retention means the amount of time your lashes last on your natural lashes before they fall out.
On average, most people lose 3-5 natural lashes per eye per day. This is completely normal and healthy, as new lashes take their place.
That's why we need lash refills to "replenish" our lashes, replacing those that are too long or have fallen out with new extensions.
While there are many different things that can affect your client's lash hold, I thought I would share with you a few tips that I think are most important if you want to provide your clients with longer lasting lash extensions. Next, be sure to read carefully!1. APPLICATION
Application is one of the most important factors to having better retention. it is so crucial to adhere the lashes to the fibre properly.when placing an extension you need to make sure to place it .05-1mm from the lash line.
This is because if lash is placed too close to the lash line: it can cause severe discomfort to your clients which will cause them to pick their lashes off.
Directly on the lash line: this is a BIG NO, as the lash grows out it will pull with it that skin it’s attached to, resulting in an open wound.
Too far from the lash line: as the lash grows the extensions will be even farther from the lash line. it will twist and turn, also cause discomfort and making your client want to pick the off.
2. ADHESIVE
Using a safe, approved and well known adhesive is very important. Also having different types of adhesive is also a good idea!
Your 1 bottle might not work with all your clients. i recommend having a clear, low fume adhesive such as the vavalash volume glue
Note:
1.We recommend storing open adhesive bottles upright with tightly closed lids in small airtight containers with oxygen absorbers (silica bags) to prevent moisture build-up. Moisture can still be found inside, even though the lid may be in a taut state.
Finally after care. if your clients are taking the appropriate measures to; using lash bath to clean their lashes daily, staying away from oil based products, not touching/picking at their lashes. then the lash extensions will last as long as they can.
2. Do not store open bottles of eyelash glue in the refrigerator. Each time you remove the eyelash adhesive from the refrigerator, sudden temperature fluctuations can form condensation inside the bottle, which can degrade the adhesive more quickly.
3. Unopened bottles of adhesive can be safely stored in the refrigerator, but be sure to remove the adhesive from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 2 hours before using it. We recommend storing unopened bottles of eyelash adhesive in the refrigerator for no more than 90 days for optimal freshness.
3. AFTER-CARE
